About Us

Wine Tastings

We do have set wine tastings that can be ordered and taken to your outdoor seat. We don’t have specific flights. You can choose any style or flavor you like. You get five 2 ounce pours and tasting notes for $5.

Seating

Currently we only have outdoor seating available. Grab a table and enjoy the view of the pasture. It’s the same ground the family has farmed since the mid 1800’s.

Sunday Wine Purchases

Yes! Carry out wine may be purchased on Sundays if we’re open. Sunday fun day, right?

Outside Food Policy

No outside food or alcohol allowed.

Children

It’s our pleasure to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. However, in compliance with state law, no children under 21 are allowed inside the winery premises.

Reservations

We do currently accept reservations for group tastings. Reach out to us and see if we can help accommodate you.

Donation Request

We love to hear from charities and non-profits. To formally submit your request for a donation please visit our donations page.

Pets

We love pets but unfortunately, our location and outdoor space requires us to prohibit pets from the grounds.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available year round at our tasting room.  We can make gift cards for any denomination. We do not ship gift cards

Smoking

We apologize but we do not allow any form of smoking anywhere on our grounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Wine Tasting: How does it work? How much does it cost? Do I have to make a reservation?

A: Our wine tastings include your choice of any five wines on our current tasting list, for $5! (Wine club members receive 12 free tastings a year!) Reservations are not required; wine tastings are first-come first-serve and conducted at the bar in our tasting room. If you’re a part of a large group, you can reach out to allow us to better accommodate our customers. A valid, non-expired, State or Federal Government-issued ID is required for tasting; please make sure your ID is current (especially when celebrating special birthdays since expiration dates often fall on birthdays!).

Q: Is Hymn and Herd Winery open to 21+ only?

A: Yes. In compliance with state law, those on the wine premises are required to be 21+.

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: We love dogs! However, because of our location near the highway and winery space, we prohibit pets from the grounds.

Q: Can I reserve tables in the tasting room or a space / picnic table(s) outside for my group outing/party?

A: We do not reserve tables (inside or outside) during our regular operating hours. All tables and space are on a first come, first serve basis. We also reserve the right to ask that tables are released and not “held” by one or two people for a large group if that group does not show within 30 minutes.

Q: Do you have anything else to drink besides wine?

A: We serve sodas and bottled water. We operate under an “Indiana Farm Winery Permit” and legally CANNOT sell alcohol that we do not produce (like beer).

Q: Do you have a restaurant? Is there food available to purchase? Can I bring my own?

A: We do not have a restaurant. We do have a deli fridge in our tasting room that sells assorted cheeses, cheese plates and other snacks. For special events during the summer, we may have several food trucks on site.

Q: Can you donate to my fundraiser/silent auction?

A: We love supporting great causes! Please visit our Donations Page for more information.
